An award-winning television show, NewsWatch has an entertainment, technology and consumer format. The show featured celebrity interviews, consumer news, sponsored and editorial consumer electronic reviews, mobile app reviews, public service announcements, breaking governments and medical news among others. The television show also featured on-location SMT (satellite media tour) interviews, national non-profit awareness campaigns and video news releases that are normally submitted to the show by different producers. NewsWatch is normally broadcast at on Monday morning news at 7 am on AMC Network, syndicated local stations as well as all the affiliates of Ion Television. The show has its main offices situated in Washington DC and regional offices situated in Denver, CO, New York City and Fairfax, VA.
NewsWatch TV is operated and owned by the Bridge Communications which is a company involved in video production and communications. In 2017, the program was honored with the Marcom Award due to their nationwide television show which normally takes 30 minutes. In 2017, the NewsWatch TV also won the Videographer Award for Excellence. In 2016, the show was given the prestigious Silver Telly Award. The airing of the NewsWatch started in March 1990 and was run as a monthly program that focused primarily on financial issues. The program expended in the 1990’s and went on to become a TV news magazine which covered a wide range of topics which are of interest to the public generally.
